The feature film that tells the extraordinary life story of Asa Branca, the country’s greatest rodeo announcer, is currently in post-production. It covers his humble beginnings in Turiúba, his meteoric rise to stardom and into the Brazilian imagination in the 1990s, and his downfall in the early 2000s, defeated by addiction.

A partnership between Ventre Studio and Sentimental Filmes, the project is directed by Guga Sander (‘Ilha de Ferro’, ‘Surfar é Coisa de Rico’), and stars Felipe Simas (Asa Branca), Lara Tremouroux (Sandra), Fábio Lago (Jotapê), Ravel Andrade (Miltinho), Carlos Francisco (Wandão) and Camila Brandão (Jibóia).
